THE INAUGURAL RUN

What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Jane Goodall

The inaugural run took place in April 2025 along sections of Cape-to-Cape Track, a scenic 135km trail in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. The track traverses diverse terrain, including rugged coastal cliffs, pristine beaches, sandy dunes, forested areas, and limestone caves, offering panoramic ocean views, with the running routes varying each year.

Wild Women in Australia hopes to attract like-minded women to join the adventure on an annual basis.

As with the South African sisterhood, we select local beneficiaries close to our hearts, with a specific focus on children.

All donations are processed through Global Development Group and are tax-deductible in Australia. All sponsorship received is donated to selected children’s welfare and education charities.

A portion of all international funds is transferred back to the “mother ship” WWOTR, to distribute to the chosen WW charities in South Africa.

HOW TO SUPPORT US

All funds raised through WWIA are donated directly to selected community projects supporting women and children in Australia and South Africa.

This offers a wonderful opportunity for businesses of all sizes to make a difference through their donation. Private individuals are also welcome to make a donation through any participating Wild Women.

Each Wild Woman is required to ‘pay her own way’ – none of the sponsorship money is used to fund runners. Every donation, irrespective of value, makes a direct difference in the lives of beneficiary children.
